Lady Justice!
To some,
she is vile and repugnant,
She’s only mythic and intangible,
some ancient notion,
they might think.
No longer necessary,
no longer possible,
they might say.
But I know her to be triumphant and glorious!
I’ll forever speak of her arresting beauty!
Lady Justice!
Without her, hope,
has no zeal nor reason,
and can never spring eternal.
Without her, faith,
cannot be restored,
and loses its knighthood.
Without her, balance,
only becomes bedlam,
as morality abandons meaning.
Without her, man,
has no cognition to strive nor progress,
beasts without honor can never know true virtue.
Lady Justice!
Her magnificence determines fate,
and her glorious intervention directs history.
She’s more than true,
so I’ll always believe in her!
She’s beyond unwavering,
so I’ll forever follow where she goes!
